Glyn is an Account Manager and Provisional Advisor at Empire and is responsible for providing the highest level of service to our clients across all of their investment, superannuation, insurance and strategic financial matters
Banking and Funds Management Grounding
Glyn has had a successful career covering almost four decades, starting with Bankwest working in various roles across Customer Service, Personal, Business and Commercial lending, and Operational Risk and Compliance Management.
With the transition of Bankwest into the Commonwealth Bank, Glyn accumulated vast experience and knowledge as a Senior Manager in their funds management section, including working with and understanding the requirements of financial planning licensee group and their adviser firm businesses. Glyn’s role required him to build relationships with both financial advisers and their clients, and solving any problems and meeting deliverables for them.
Financial Planning Transition
Glyn took advantage of a banking restructure to pursue a long held desire of transitioning to becoming a financial advisor. In that time he has completed the required additional qualifications and is now licenced as a Provisional Advisor with Empire.
His current role has him focused on the delivery of review and ongoing advice service requirements for our client’s financial strategies, and ensure the sound continued management of investment, insurance and superannuation portfolios and that our strategic advice stays relevant to the ever changing needs and circumstances of our clients
Qualifications
Glyn’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Curtin University of Technology, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (FINSIA), as well as a Masters in Financial Planning through Kaplan.
