Empire Team Talk – Introducing Anna Duong We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the newest member of the Empire team, Anna Duong. Anna’s position in Empire sees her in charge of all research and technical services matters in the provision of strategic, investment and insurance advice to clients.
She supports our process with creating and modelling various strategies and their outcomes, ready for presentation and implementation.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University with a major in Financial Planning. These formal qualifications underpin a solid and in depth understanding of the entire end to end financial advice process, from research, strategy, implementation and ongoing review formed with practical experience spanning a period from 2008 to now.

What is your favourite holiday destination?
Europe. Especially in Summer.
Who would you invite to a dinner party and why?
Michael Jordan. I played Basketball growing up and watched NBA games religiously. Stories have surfaced from his family and former team mates that he is not the nicest person to be around. I would be interested to see what he is like in person and pick his brain on how he managed to stay so determined and focused for so long. I also would get some pointers as my basketball skills are a bit rusty now.
What is your favourite pastime?
Snowboarding. Although I don’t get to do as much as I would like.
What was your first job?
Waitress, at my parent’s restaurant.
What do you enjoy most about working in financial services?
No two clients (or couples) are the same. On any given day you could be working with people who are retired or close to retiring, are in process of building their wealth or are just starting out. This creates a very dynamic work environment and I find I am constantly learning new things which keeps things interesting.
